ONLINE REPUTATION
DARREN YATES
2/28/2018

I am glad I was assigned Darren because I generally found that he is the essence of a likable dude. I'll highlight some patterns I found here, and you may agree with me. In general, he does not post on FB very frequently, but when he does, it tends to be in bulk. It's like he is not in a steady relationship with social media, but when they get together....look out!

My trends are from these basic elements: Family ties, South Africa, and LDS/Mormon ties. I'll not pursue the topics in that order, but I'll address them all as a whole.  The first thing I found on his facebook page was an image of him with a handful of what appeared to be African children. I saw also images of a South African flag, South African infrastructure and architecture which could only be interesting to someone who has spent some time there or is pretty invested in the area (I drive through Ogden on occasion, but I don't post about it because I don't care about Ogden). So at the very least, he is hyper-interested in the culture or country of South Africa.

Next I noticed that he had some pictures of family. Family photos make me believe that he is one of two children, and the only male child in his family. There are a lot of details about Minnesota also included in background info. He "liked" some Minnesota professional athletic teams, some Utah Pro teams, and at least one South African team (Springboks). Liked Teams  He also has an image of himself and his sister golfing. From that I extrapolated that his family likes to follow and participate in sports together and that his family has some ties to the land of the lakes....doncha know.

I also noticed a strong (perhaps the strongest) tie to the LDS church. He has posts about mission, Mission reunion invitations, as well as images of himself on a mission (wearing the stereotypical LDS missionary white shirt and tie) with several different people which makes me believe that he was a missionary for longer than a year (several companions means several periods of companionship with each being at least 6 weeks in most cases). He also had Book of Mormon posts and old photos from an LDS Youth Conference event which appear to be from his teen years which makes me believe that his family is also LDS and has strong ties to that church which informs his association and at least initiated his connection with that group. Book of Mormon/ Mission Reunion most recent posts

In conclusion, Darren seems like a very stable guy with traditional family values and a strong tie to South Africa and Christian religious lifestyle. I'd be his friend but for the fact that he is a timberwolves fan, and that is silly at best.
